Kitchen Lead

Job Summary

The Kitchen Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen while ensuring food quality, consistency, cleanliness, efficiency, and team accountability. This position serves as the primary leader for the Back of House team and works closely with management to maintain operational standards, food costs, inventory controls, scheduling, and training initiatives.

The Kitchen Lead is expected to lead by example, coach and develop team members, maintain a positive culture, and ensure guests receive a superior food product every time.

As part of the Remedy Dog Bar culture, Kitchen Leads may also assist with guest interactions, Boneyard education, and operational support throughout the facility as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Lead and supervise all Back of House team members during assigned shifts

· Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, plated, and presented according to company standards

· Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth execution of service

· Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of all food and supplies

· Monitor food costs, waste, portioning, and product utilization

· Ensure proper rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of all products

· Train, coach, and develop kitchen team members on recipes, procedures, food safety, and company standards

· Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance development of BOH employees

· Create and manage BOH schedules while maintaining labor goals

· Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts

· Conduct opening and closing inspections and ensure all opening/closing duties are completed properly

· Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times

· Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and food safety requirements

· Conduct regular line checks and quality control throughout service

· Assist with food preparation and cooking during high-volume periods

· Communicate equipment maintenance needs and coordinate repairs with management

· Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely

· Support menu rollouts, recipe implementation, and operational changes

· Assist with special events, catering, and large party preparation when needed

· Explain menu items and answer product questions as raised by guests

· Understanding of how the Boneyard works (rules, supervision, waivers) in case of questions that may arise from guests

The Remedy Dog Bar is a hybrid restaurant, bar, and supervised dog social yard (“The Doggio”). We operate as a team-based, shared tip-pool environment where all staff assist guests, dogs, and each other. Assistant Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager supports daily operations of The Remedy Dog Bar including restaurant service, bar operations, kitchen execution, and supervision of the dog social yard (“Doggio”). This role ensures a safe, compliant, and high-quality experience for both guests and dogs.

Assistant Managers are fully cross-trained leaders who step into any operational role when needed. This position requires active floor presence and hands-on participation in service, safety monitoring, and team leadership.

This is not a desk management position. The Assistant Manager works directly in the operation alongside the team.

Duties & Responsibilities

·         Responsible for increasing sales by providing outstanding product and service

·         Providing team members with the appropriate and effective training

·         Work lunch, dinner and weekends, monitoring quality of food and service

·         Purchase food, beverages and supplies as needed and oversee their preparation to ensure that every product served meets our high standards of product quality

·         Execute all systems daily to ensure a clean, organized restaurant prepared to deliver quality food and excellent guest service

·     Utilize all management tools to keep neat, accurate and current records providing the Historical data plan for increased sales and profit

·         Operate in accordance with the established performance, profits and operating standards as set out in the operation manuals

·         Understanding all aspects of the rules, protocols, and safety regulations of The Remedy Dog Bar and the Doggio ensuring these responsibilities are upheld and maintained at all times

Job Summary

To serve the guest by providing them with a welcoming environment by ensuring complete satisfaction through superior food product, as well as quick, friendly, and superior service. Bartenders prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while maintaining bar cleanliness and assisting with guest relations. Bartenders also help monitor the Doggio and educate guests on rules and safety procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

·         Extend a warm and friendly greeting to all guests and dogs upon arrival

·         Explain menu items and answer product question as raised by guests

·         Explain how the Doggio works (rules, supervision, waivers)

·         Set up/break down the bar for the shift

·         Take food and beverage orders and enter into POS

·         Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers

·         Deliver food and beverages to tables and patio areas

·         Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons

·         Comply with all food and beverage regulations 

·         Assist guests with membership check-ins and documentation

·         Monitor dog behavior and notify Woofaree staff of concerns

·         Complete all side work which includes various cleaning tasks (busing tables, rolling silverware, etc.)
